Glacier National Park and Beyond
Know Before You Go + Explore Outside the Park

vehicle reservation system for Glacier National Park’s 2022 peak season is in place May 27 through September 11. When entering during that time you will need a vehicle reservation for both the Going-to-the-Sun Road (GTSR) corridor and the North Fork corridor (in addition to a normal park pass).

Road construction update! Please plan ahead. Going-to-the-Sun Road will be closed on the west side starting June 1, 2022, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily between Apgar and Sprague Creek. If you do not have a vehicle reservation for the GTSR and your back-up plan includes entering the park before 6 a.m., please know that will only be an option on the east side.

When planning your getaway, consider spending time outside the park in Western Montana’s Glacier Country. The gorgeous landscapes and exceptional communities surrounding the park offer as equally memorable an adventure as the park itself. Explore our charming small towns, where you’ll find restaurants, breweries and distilleries, unique shopping, museums and galleries. Glacier Country is the perfect place to discover your next unforgettable adventure.
