Planning a Trip to Glacier National Park This Summer?
Here’s What to Expect

If you’re heading to Glacier National Park June 13 – September 28, 2025, you will need a timed-entry vehicle reservation to access some of the park’s most popular areas—Going-to-the-Sun Road and North Fork—during peak hours.

This system helps manage congestion within the park. Both locations have unique details and require a separate reservation. Vehicle reservations are available now for 120-day advance purchase on a daily rolling basis. Spots fill fast, so be sure to plan ahead. Get the details on when, where and how to book your reservation before your trip.

Wildlife Watching

Western Montana’s wide-open spaces and protected lands are home to bison, elk, bighorn sheep, moose and more, as well as hundreds of bird species—and spotting them is easier than you might think. There are several places to see our most majestic creatures in their natural habitat, including the CSKT Bison Range and multiple national wildlife refuges. Please respect wildlife and their habitat, observe them from a safe distance and never feed them.
